The application covers all Texas counties, providing pending permit data for those that have seen activity within the coverage period. If you are unfamiliar with counties involved in oil and gas development, it is recommended to consult the RRC's free Drilling Permit Application Query tool.

Pending permits listed by Texas Wells Pro include details such as operator contact information, land survey data, SWR flags where applicable, total well depth, and the relevant Railroad Commission district. The raw data utilized is sourced from the Railroad Commission of Texas; however, Texas Wells Pro operates independently of this entity. The information is presented twice daily for user convenience at approximately 3:10 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. Central Time.

Users can easily access the RRC web page for each selected permit via the "Live" button located in the Permit Details view. Permit attachments are also accessible through provided links.

It is essential to keep in mind that while pin locations on the map offer a general representation, they may not capture all updates related to pending permits. Additionally, representations of original Texas survey centroids should not be mistaken for actual well locations or proposed sites.
